I’m probably posting this a bit early here as I haven’t actually got all the details down on paper yet but here’s the basics and I’ll post more on the weekend.
I am selling my double float as I’m upgrading to a triple. My float is an older style but I’m unsure as to how old – 15-20 years?? Roughly. It is an extended height and it carried my big bum 17hh Clydesdale easily in a single bay. He didn’t need to have the divider across of anything so there is plenty of room.
It was repainted approx 6-8 months ago so the outside is in pretty good nick. Its purple on the bottom and silver on the top. It has a full size entry door at the front. It has a spring assisted very light tailgate which can easily be lifted by one person. It has bum chains and a removable centre divider.
The tyres have lots of tread left and are pretty new. In the pics it as a swing up jockey wheel but I’m keeping that for the new float so you’ll get a standard removable jockey wheel – sorry!!
I have been using this float for the past 3 years and it is still being used presently so you can buy it and go.
It has hydraulic brakes that work well and the lights work too. (except the side ones as they aren’t connected up at the moment). The brakes were serviced approx 12 months ago so there shouldn’t be any huge hurry to have them done again for at least another few months.
What else can I say?? Its pretty light – the tare weight is 850kg. It is currently registered – will have to check the sticker to see when til though.
Its an oldie but a goodie. It could do with a spruce up on the inside and maybe down the track the floor may need replacing but presently its ready to rock!!
