HOOF CARE

Never under estimate the importance of proper hoof care.

The below pictures are of our lovely Toffee who has been in a home where they did not understand the imporance of regular hoof care.

She had not seen the farrier for who knows how long & as you can see - she suffered for it.

When my farrier came out to do Toffee's feet, he had to cut severe dents in her hooves to get out the stones that had grown into them.

Poor Toffee was a sight for sore eyes and she needed a bit of TLC while her feet grew out to normal length.

Thankfully Toffee's feet grew out naturally and we didnt have a need for corrective shoe-ing.
