I have taken Pablo out on a trail ride by himself a couple of times now and he’s going brilliantly. He is bold as brass and is not spooky at all. He happily plods along and really enjoys going out. He has an active walk but doesn’t pull, his trot is a bit more forward (not for raw beginner), his canter is very nice – you can pretty ride him at the canter with no contact on his mouth at all – he doesn’t pull and sits at the same speed without getting faster. He’s a very comfortable boy to ride and really makes you feel safe in the saddle. Never nasty or silly and no buck in sight – very genuine horse.
A real ripper horse to take out and about - he’ll be a great trail riding mount for a rider with a bit of basic experience. He’d be too fast in the trot for a beginner as he has a fairly quick pony trot. His canter is just lovely and you just rock to it. Not the sort to spook or play up, happily go out on his own or in a group. Would be good for someone returning to the saddle who wants to trail ride safely without the worry. Pretty much suit an intermediate rider who wants to gain confidence.
Great in traffic – cars whoosh by where we’ve been riding him and he doesn’t even batter an eyelid. We are yet to encounter any trucks but I am confident he won’t worry about them. He’s fine in the dark as we’ve been doing twilight trail rides with him and he’s just an all-round little superstar.
Easy to catch (if you have a carrot!!), good for farrier, floats like a dream, ties up patiently, stands still to be saddled, loves a brush and adores attention. Very sweet pony!
Pablo is priced at $1250 to an exceptional home only!
I believe he is priced well below his worth, this is only because he is still slightly light in condition and will require further feeding to bring him up to peak condition.
