PABLO HAS BEEN SOLD

PABLO HAS BEEN SOLD TO A WONDERFUL HOME.

HE WILL BE LIVING AT EQUEST PARK EQUESTRIAN (WWW.EQUESTPARK.COM.AU)

ANGELA AND THE TEAM THERE ARE FABULOUS AND THEIR HORSES ARE EXTREMELY WELL CARED FOR.

PABLO WILL BE USED FOR LESSONS AND I'M SURE HE'LL LOVE SHOWING OFF TO EVERYONE.

THANKS ANGELA FOR OFFERING PABLO A SECOND CHANCE

Pablo is now looking for a new home!

I have taken Pablo out on a trail ride by himself a couple of times now and he’s going brilliantly. He is bold as brass and is not spooky at all. He happily plods along and really enjoys going out. He has an active walk but doesn’t pull, his trot is a bit more forward (not for raw beginner), his canter is very nice – you can pretty ride him at the canter with no contact on his mouth at all – he doesn’t pull and sits at the same speed without getting faster. He’s a very comfortable boy to ride and really makes you feel safe in the saddle. Never nasty or silly and no buck in sight – very genuine horse.

A real ripper horse to take out and about - he’ll be a great trail riding mount for a rider with a bit of basic experience. He’d be too fast in the trot for a beginner as he has a fairly quick pony trot. His canter is just lovely and you just rock to it. Not the sort to spook or play up, happily go out on his own or in a group. Would be good for someone returning to the saddle who wants to trail ride safely without the worry.  Pretty much suit an intermediate rider who wants to gain confidence.

Great in traffic – cars whoosh by where we’ve been riding him and he doesn’t even batter an eyelid. We are yet to encounter any trucks but I am confident he won’t worry about them. He’s fine in the dark as we’ve been doing twilight trail rides with him and he’s just an all-round little superstar.

Easy to catch (if you have a carrot!!), good for farrier, floats like a dream, ties up patiently, stands still to be saddled, loves a brush and adores attention. Very sweet pony!

Pablo is priced at $1250 to an exceptional home only!

I believe he is priced well below his worth, this is only because he is still slightly light in condition and will require further feeding to bring him up to peak condition.

Pablo will be ready very soon

Pablo is just finishing off his final assessments and is going well.

At this stage we think he'd suit a rider who knows the basics. He's definately not a bucker and has no nasty vices.

He's forward moving so might not suit a complete beginner, but he does have a soft mouth so an confident beginner / intermediate rider might be suited.

More rides will be done this week on him and we hope to post another update soon. The price is yet to be decided but that should be known later this week.

Here's a little picture of him from today - he's still slightly poor in condition and needs to develop a bit more topline but he's not too bad.

His shoulders were shaved today and unfortunatley there are no brands. We estimate his age to be around 19/20 years but he rides like a 10 year old - no arthritis or clicky joints here!!!

Plenty of good riding years left in the old boy yet!!

"Pablo" Our new addition...

Perfect “Pablo” – Roan Chestnut with Blaze, approx 14.1 hh.

Pablo is a recent addition to our little family here and he’s a very sweet boy. Pablo came from the saleyards where his future was uncertain. We were able to find out a little bit about Pablo’s history from the previous owners which isn’t normally possible so its great to have this extra bit of info about him.

The story is: Pablo has been owned by a family, who’s 10 year old daughter used him for pony club. Apparently he reached grade 3 level with his rider, then she moved onto a larger horse and poor Pablo basically sat in the paddock doing nothing. The family decided to sell Pablo at the sales due to lack of time. They said he’s a great confidence builder and is basically bombproof.

Pablo has only just started his assessments with us so isn’t offered for sale as yet, however we are sure that he’s going to be a fabulous mount for someone to learn on.

From the short time we’ve had him, we can say that he’s a gentleman to handle – easy to rug, groom, saddle up, and just great to handle in general. He’s a lovely ride and is quite responsive – he has good transitions and will go from a trot to a canter with just voice commands (click). He’s a well-balanced horse to ride and very comfortable. Not goey, but not lazy, with a nice snaffle mouth.
