Taffy has officialy been adopted

MONIQUE AND FAMILY HAVE DECIDED TO KEEP THE LOVELY TAFFY.

TAFFY SETTLED IN WELL AND ADAPTED TO RIDERS ABILITIES WHICH IS GREAT NEWS!

THANKS MONIQUE FOR OFFERING TAFFY A SECOND CHANCE

Taffy has been adopted

Our lovely little Taffy has found a wonderful home with Monique & Family.

She leaves us Friday 8/12 and will be going on a one week trail just to make sure it all works out.

We will update her page once we have a final answer.

"Taffy" is ready to find a new home

Taffy is just impressing us so much that we feel she’s is ready for a new home – why put off the inevitable. She has been such an angel from day one that she’s going to make someone very happy. Taffy is easy to catch, good with the other horses, great to pick up her feet, patient to be saddled. Easy to ride, - forward moving pony strides, make a fantastic second pony for a rider with a bit of experience, or could also be used as a lead rein for a beginner.

Quiet in everyway and a true pleasure to have around. Why a horse of this nature was sent to the saleyards is beyond me. Taffy is a real “been there, done that” type and happily leads the pack on rides or will also follow behind – what ever she’s asked to do, she’ll do it. Not Spooky – good with cars, dogs, etc….

The adoption price for Taffy is $550

What a ripper pony!

Little Taffy has been constantly impressing us with her fantastic nature. She has perfect ground manners and ties up patiently and loves being fussed over. She's friendly with the other horses and fits in with the pack well.

She's been doing some road work with us and is fantastic. She doesnt seem to care about anything. She's seen cars, windmills, flapping plastic, horses running in paddocks and alot else and she doesnt even bat an eyelid. She happily leads the pack and is very bold - not spooky at all.  Taffy is proving to be every bit the "Been there, Done that" type that we all love.

She has great forward paces and is such a delight to ride. She has shown no vices so far - no buck, pigroot, bite, kick, rear etc... so far - a complete little angel.

Meet "Taffy" - our new addition

Taffy is a lovely little pony who has recently graced our paddocks. She is a cute little mare who is a chocolate taffy colour (hence her name) and is just adorable. She is an aged mare (late teens/early 20’s) and apart from a sway back, she’s in good health. She has not been measured yet but is around 13.2hh approx.

We have been told that Taffy has apparently been used at a trail riding business doing rides here there and everywhere and the only reason she was sold at the sales was due to the drought.

She does have a sway back but this does not affect her in anyway and it is purely cosmetic. She is sound and fairly forward moving and seems to really enjoy getting ridden. Please don’t let her back put you off – there are plenty of sway back horses out there doing pony club and competing without any hassles.

Some of the people attending the saleyards (the day we got Taffy) were laughing & pointing at her back and quite a few were seen taking pictures with their mobile phones while chatting about how much they thought the doggers would pay for her. We were not going to stand for that so we went into her pen to give her a pat hello, and she promptly nuzzled into my arm and that was it - she was coming home with us and she did . A few people were quite shocked to see that she didnt go to the doggers and actually came up to congratulate us for giving her a go which was really nice to see.

Little Taffy is presently undergoing assessments as a riding horse and will be offered for adoption soon.
