Tiffany is now being offered for sale !!!

Thank you to everyone who has inquired about Tiffany over the past couple of months.

I now have the pleasure of offering her for sale to a "FABULOUS" home.

The price is $1700 for this little darling - and belive me, she is worth every penny!!

Tiff can be ridden on roads, trails, in paddocks etc.. She is not spooky, has no vices, and is 100% sound.

She is quiet in every way and I cannot fault this little girl.

She has not been ridden since February as she was basically turned to eat and relax - which she quite enjoyed!!

This will give a good indication to prospective buyers of what she is like to ride - even after a good break.

If you think you can offer this Special Pony a home, please email Bree on HORSESwithHOPE@yahoo.com.au

I'll get some new pic's on the weekend and post them once taken - prob on Sat !!

Tiff's is still on the skinny side and will continue to gradually put on weight as time goes by - the new owners needs to monitor this.

She has had her teeth done, and her overall health is great. She now just needs some TLC to round up and she'll be 100%

I am selling her a bit earlier than I would like to - purely becuase we have lost 20 acres of our land due to development.

16th April 2005 - Nearly Ready !!

Tiffany is nearly ready to be re-homed.

Her weight is still light on, however I am confident that she is happy and healthy and will only continue to improve as time goes by.

The price on Tiffany is $1700 and I will post on here when she is ready.

I expect the first week of May will be the time for Tiff to start looking for a new loving, long term home where she'll be spoilt!!!

Tiffany is suitable for any rider from a beginner who knows the basics, to a nervous mum, to a adult returning to the saddle...

She is quiet on trails, roads and anywhere else you want to take her. She's got no vices or bad habbits & is a real sweet heart.

RED HILL SHOW - SAT 26TH MARCH

Tiffany was a hit with the crowds thats for sure!!!

We set up a stall & had our beautiful Tiffy out the front meeting & greeting all the show goers.

I would like to say a big Thank you to everyone who bought raffle tickets & congrat's to those who won prizes!!

12th March 2005 - Feeling Better

Out little darling Tiffany is feeling much better about herself.

She is energetic, happy, eating plenty, and looking better everyday.

She is still in poor condition, but is slowly but surely gaining condition.

Tiffany's bottom is looking normal and she had brief check up from the vet and got the OK.

So, at the moment things are looking up and here's hoping they stay that way !!!!

5th March - "A Pain in the butt"

A PROLAPSED RECTUM IS NOT A PRETTY SIGHT :

Poor Tiffany, as if she hasnt been through enough, then this happens!!

Wednesday night 9pm - I was checking her and noticed a growth on her rectum. Concerned that she wasnt able to pass poo, I called the vet and he came out for an after hours visit.  I was told that she had a prolapsed rectum - the vet pushed it back it and gave her some injections and said it was now a waiting game to see if it would stay in...

Thursday morning 8am - BUGGER!!! It came out again, she was admitted to Cranbourne Equine Hospital & monitored. They put a ring around the prolapse and that means that the lump should fall off in the next week with no complications... if all goes to plan.... fingers crossed....

Satuday morning 8am - she was allowed to leave the hospital and she came home with me. Now she is getting penicillin daily to reduce the risk of infection & equibutazone to stop inflamation. She is also getting lots so cuddles as she is very sore.. poor baby girl...

27th February 2005 - TRAIL RIDING

WOW what a great time I had on Tiffany on Sunday.  We took her out on a trail ride with 2 other horses and she was an absolute sweetheart. She stood completely still to saddle & even to bridle (surprising after all the teeth problems she’s had!!).  Then I mounted and we were off. We went out for about an hour and had a ball. Tiff was happy to lead the way and really enjoyed getting out. She was not spooky at all and didn’t shy at all. She is the quietest thing on 4 legs. We went for a trot & a lovely canter on a loose rein and she kept a great pace and didn’t try to speed up or drop out, she was just perfect. We went on the roads and went past barking dogs, a man on a ride on mower with his wife doing the whipper snipping, and also forklifts near the market gardens and she didn’t even batter an eyelid at anything. The other horses cantered off and she happily kept walking without fuss, she didn’t try to catch up or do anything silly, she’s a little star.

ABOVE:  As you can see her condition is getting better and better everyday.

ABOVE:  Cheeky little girl - she gets into everything, espescially if she thinks there is food for her !!

20th February - Bath Time
Today we decided it was time for Tiffany to get the royal treatment.

After her horrible day at the dentist yesterday, she deserved a bit of TLC !!

First we groomed her from head to toe, then clipped a bridle path and cut her tail so it was even. Next we gave her a bath with lots & lots of shampoo !!! She came up sparkling – she looked great.

Then we let her go in the paddock – knowing full well that she’d find the dirtiest part of the paddock and have a roll, but it was so cute to watch, we just had to let her go and enjoy it !! As you can see below – she came up blacker than ever after her roll… but how cute… seriously, she’s just gorgeous.

And you can also see that she is slowly picking up in condition… it will still be fair while before she’s ready for a new home, but things are looking up that’s for sure.

18th February - Dental Care

Our poor little Tiffany has never seen a dentist in her life, and as a result, you can see why she is so skinny and has a mouth covered in lumps and bumps. I took her to Cranbourne Equine Hospital to see the fantastic Graham Jeffery who I asked to perform his magic and re-shape her mouth. Tiff was heavily sedated and had all her teeth filed using a drill type of thing with a long arm on it with the filer on the end - this new way of filing is great as it helps reduce the chance of scraping the inside of the cheek as the filing is done. It took a long 45 mins to shape her back teeth, then even her front teeth needed filing as they were so uneven that her mouth couldnt close properly which would have been affecting her grazing. Graham actually called 2 other vets out to come and have a look - he said it was the worst mouth he'd ever seen on a horse. Poor Tiffany !!!

Once completed, I had to wait another 30 mins while Tiff recovered from her sedation. Once awake enough, she hopped on the float and came home for a well earned rest. She was sore, but the following day - what a diference - the golfball like lump that had been on her cheek was gone and it all looked normal. Amazing the difference that good oral care can make!!! See below the piccies of the tooth she had to have removed, the ulcer inside her mouth, and also the pic of her in the crush sedated heavily and awaiting for the dreadful filing to begin.....

A big tooth that had to be pulled from Tiff's jaw as it was loose and would have caused problems if it wasnt removed now...

Take note of the 50cent size hole showing on Tiffany's cheek - this is from a tooth that had grown into her cheek over many years....

Poor Tiff - just look at her, you can't help but feel for her & wonder why someone let her get this bad.... its just awful to see....

A tale of a beautiful little pony named "Tiffany"....

11th February 2005 :

Tiffany was bought recently from the dogger pen at the saleyards.

She is the cutest little pony around with such a sweet nature.

She is approx 14hh, and in her late teens i'd say. Palomino in colour with a blaze down her face.

She has been badly neglected as you can see by her poor condition and bony frame.

Her mouth is ulcerated on the inside and she has an unlcer the size of a large golfball protruding from her cheek.

She is going to be slowly nursed back to health over the next few months and will then be looking for a new home.

We had a short ride on Tiff, but due to her mouth sores we rode in a halter & she was an angel - she'll make a great rding horse!!!

Stay tuned for the updates on how Tiffany progresses......
